The Adirondack Welcome Center was a NY State DOT project spearheaded through the Stantec NYC office’s Civil Engineering group to renovate the deteriorating rest area along the I-87 Northbound route to the Adirnondacks. It encompasses all Stantec Architecture, Design, and Engineering disciplines including Civil, Geothermal, MEP, Base Building, Interior, and Landscape teams in a coordinated multi-office effort. Remote teams worked together across several Stantec offices including NYC, Albany, Binghamton, Miami, Philadelphia, & Seattle, culminating the in the LEED Certifiable that opened Sep 20, 2018.
